Czy ten screen to prawdziwy wygląd mandrivy?

Już się ściąga?

Ktoś mógłby wrzucić motyw z Moblina? Ciekawi mnie jak to zaimplementowali w Mandrivie.

Zainstalowana Muszę przyznać, ze zawsze byłem na nie jeżeli chodzi o Mandrivę – zawsze miałem jakieś problemy z poprzednimi edycjami i często coś się w systemie sypało i to zaraz po instalacji. Teraz zainstalowałem 2010 i jestem ogromnie pozytywnie zaskoczony Przez długi czas używałem tylko pochodnych Debiana.

Ciekawe co na to XtremeOS? Ja osobiście po kilku latach używania Mandrivy przeniosłem się na Fedorę. Chyba najlepsza z testowanych przeze mnie dystrybucji. Duża dostępność pakietów w najnowszych wersjach a wszystko działa sprawnie i stabilnie.

Z największym bólem serca musze przyznać że praktycznie nie ma dystrybucji linuxa która by stała na naprawde wysokim poziomie , oprócz archa , slacka , debiana i gentoo ale to już inna bajka .

Jak jakaś dystrybucja staje się dobra to w następnym wydaniu sie spieprzy tak było z fedorą , pardusem czy ubunciakiem . Trzeba więc szukać innego rozwiązania

A sprawdzales PCLinuxOS ? apt z debiana, konfiguratory z mandrivy, rpm z fedory polaczenie najszepszych rzeczy polecam http://www.pclinuxos.org.pl ! sprawdzic nie zaszkodzi… a co do srodowisk graficznych to tez znajdziesz cos dla siebie…

A ja już nie wiem jak"to" zrobić na Windowsie – ciągle mi się wydaje, że zwykłe kopiowanie kawałka tekstu jest niewygodne (u mnie zaznaczam myszą (kopiowanie) i klikam kółkiem (wklejanie)). No i te dyski C, D, E…

A Mandriva tak jakoś od 2009.0 działa bez żadnych problemów, choć przyznaję, że zbyt zaawansowanych funkcji systemu nie potrzebuję – ot, internet przez wi-fi (znacznie łatwiejsza konfiguracja niż w XP), pakiet biurowy (w XP dodatkowe koszty), multimedia, sieć domowa, no, jeszcze troszkę zabaw z grafiką żeby akcelerację 3D (bo zawsze jest bez zabaw ze sterownikami) wykorzystać…

Jak jest ze stabilnością i zabezpieczeniami przed rozsypką systemu w Pclinuxos ? bo to chyba dla mnie jest najważniejsze .

Ostatnio bawiłem się tym naprawdę ciekawy system

Używałem wszystkich Mandrive od wersji 7.0 (wtedy jeszcze Mandrake), dziś chwilę pobawiłem się 2010 i wygląda na to, że 2010 jest raczej udaną edycją. Choć oczywiście nie obyło się bez problemów: przy instalacji można sobie wybrać profile instalacji (KDE, Gnome, minimalistyczna itp.) i to działa, ale z instalacją użytkownika, z samodzielnym wyborem pakietów, już jest problem: pakiety można wybrać, ale anulować wyboru już się nie da… Dziwne, bo w poprzednich edycjach działało… A usuwanie zbędnego badziewia po instalacji jest pracochłonne. Jak zwykle nie działa aktualizacja pakietów w czasie instalacji (W 2009.1 chyba działała) – jak zwykle lepiej tego nie robić w przypadku Mandrivy: lepiej już odpalić i z aktualizować z poziomu dystrybucji, a jak są problemy to np. bez grafiki (np. dać 3 jako parametr jajka w bootloaderze przy pierwszym odpaleniu) i z konsoli urpmi –auto-update albo coś podobnego. Inaczej można sobie narobić problemu (mnie osobiście przy instalacji nigdy aktualizacja nie odpaliła, za to zdarzało jej się coś wtedy skopać). Tradycyjnie już gdy nie zainstaluje się OpenOffice.org, to… Seamonkey (Firefox pewnie też, ale nie używam, więc tego nie wiem) jest bez polskiego słownika i nie da się go doinstalować z poziomu przeglądarki… To taki pomysł Mandriavy: nie dublować słowników, więc jest słownikowy komunizm (wszystko wspólne), ale działa, gdy jest OO. Trzeba o tym wiedzieć… Kmail robi nieprzyjemną niespodziankę, gdy zwykło się odbierać pocztę do lokalnych katalogów, z opcją pozostawienia wiadomości na serwerze pocztowym i przywróciło się pocztę i konfigurację z backupu – przy pierwszym odpaleniu odbiera nową pocztę bez pozostawienia jej na serwerze i oczywiście bez pytania użytkownika o zdanie, nim się zdąży coś skonfigurować… Seamonkey nie chce też zapamiętywać po wylogowaniu ustawionego motywu i wraca do classic. Pomaga przekopiowanie motywów do lokalnego profilu użytkownika. Zmieniono podpinanie partycji windows: dawniej było w /mnt, teraz jest w /media (w media Mandriva dotąd podpinała nośniki wymienne) – jak ktoś przywykł, to się może zdziwić. W 2009.1 przestał działać motyw invisible (przeźroczysty) w Gkrellm w KDE. W 2010 też ten motyw nie działa. Są pewne regresje z zależnościami pakietów: dawniej wybierając OpenOffice do instalacji, paczka lokalizacyjna wybierała się automatycznie. W 2010 trzeba o niej wiedzieć i wskazać ręcznie – początkujący może o tym nie wiedzieć, tym bardziej, że z przyczyn nieznanych najstarszym góralom graficzna nakładka urpmi domyślnie pokazuje… tylko pakiety zawierające programy z interface graficznym i paczki lokalizacyjnej mu nie pokaże!!!!

A teraz pozytywne rzeczy: najbardziej ucieszą się posiadacze graf Intela. 2009.1 była dla nich totalnie skopana. U mnie GMA950 z opcją "UXA" pod KDE 4.x zupełnie nie działała (zwis systemu w parę sekund po pojawieniu się pulpitu). To o tyle ciekawe, że pod Gnome czy IceWM działało z tą opcją, ale… w losowych momentach system zamierał i ożywał po poruszeniu myszą. Bez UXA chodził zaś w KDE jak żółw i absolutnie nie nadawał się do użytku. Mandriva potwierdziła problem, powiedziała że to wina sterów od Intela i można to poprawić tylko w nowym kernelu, którego do 2009.1… nie dadzą! W 2010 rzeczywiście karta chodzi bez zarzutu i w końcu KDE 4.3.2 nadaje się do użytku, a nawet przyjemnie się z niego korzysta. System uruchamia się jeszcze szybciej niż 2009.1, a już tamta edycja sprawiała miłą niespodziankę. Na razie nie widzę jakiś większych problemów, które mogłyby uniemożliwić początkującemu poradzenie sobie z instalacją i używaniem i 2010 ma szansę się znaleźć wśród najlepszych edycji Mandrivy. Dotąd miałem dobrą opinię o Mandrivie, ale dopiero po… 3 miesiącach od wydania, gdy pojawiło się już z kilkaset MB aktualizacji i po 3 miesiącach Mandriva zwykle chodziła miodzio. Edycje od początku całkiem udane zdarzały się żadko i 2010 ma na razie szansę na taki wyjątek.
