Nie można się nastawiać na naukę jednego języka, w którym będzie się robić wszystko. Język to narzędzie, jak nóż, młotek, wiertarka, śrubokręt. Można przetwarzać logi w C lub Javie, ale są języki, w których robi się to prościej. Obrazowo porównując – używanie jednego języka do wszystkiego, to tak jak robienie wszystkiego za pomocą młotka – od wbijania gwoździa, przez smarowanie chleba, kopanie dołków po podcieranie się. Ani to wygodne, ani higieniczne
Szkoda, ze w porownaniu sa tylko bardzo zblizone jezyki do siebie a nie ma np. Javy albo C/C++.
Po za tym zgadzam sie w 100% z nobody, dobry programista wie czego ma uzyc. Wszystko mozna pisac a jednym jezyku nawet skrypty i Makefile ale po co jak sa duzo wygodniejsze jezyki do tego?
Dla mnie jezyki typu Ruby,Perl, czy Python znakomicie ndaja sie do tworzenia aplikacji web 2.0 czy do szybkiego tworzenia algorytmow i testowania ich, ale predkosc w porownaniu z czystym C jest slabiutka. Za to C nadaje sie do pisania nisko poziomowego jak sterowniki (lub tez pisanie softu na embedded systems). Gdybym mial za to napisac aplikacje, ktora ma dzialac na macierzy obliczeniowej to pewnie bym wybral erlang. Java za to znakomicie sie sprawdza w aplikacjach enterprise (java jako technologia-niekoniecznie sam jezyk java)
Dorzucę jeszcze swoje trzy grosze – coraz częściej istnieje możliwość w miarę bezproblemowego łączenia kilku języków w jednym projekcie dzięki narzędziom takim jak np. JRuby, Rubyinline, IronPython, Perl::Inline, Groovy, etc., co bardzo przemawia na korzyść języków "skryptowych".
Jeśli ich ograniczeniem jest dostępność wyspecjalizowanych bibliotek (np. napisanych w C lub Javie) – to można dodać ich odpowiedniki napisane bezpośrednio, w którymś z tych języków. Jeśli zaś kluczowy fragment kodu działa zbyt wolno – to można go przepisać np. do C.
Dlatego sądzę, że w przyszłości większość projektów informatycznych będzie korzystała z takich heterogenicznych rozwiązań.
Litości, nie 'dlaczego programowanie jest tak popularne', tylko jeśli już 'co czyni język programowania popularnym'. Myślałem przez chwilę że obudziłem się za sprawką Doca Browna 100 lat później i programowanie to aktualnie najpopularniejsza zajawka wsród młodzieży.
Jest jeden język w jednej technologi, który może się nadawać praktycznie do wszystkiego.
Jest nim C# i cały jego .NET, który nadaje się do robienia stron, aplikacji webowych aż po nawet same gry.

No nie za bardzo. NET można użyć do wielu rzeczy, jednak programy w nim napisane zawsze będą mniej wydajne niż napisane w jakimś C, czy C++…
plastikowy młotek czy śrubokręt też można użyć do wielu rzeczy, ale szybko się złamie…
Java jest mniej wydajna od .NET.
Bzdura.
dotnet to zabawka. rozumiem pisanie w Javie – tak napisany program działa pod olbrzymią liczbą systemów, platform sprzętowych, od Windowsów na PC, poprzez Linuksy, Maki aż po telefony komórkowe. Java jest wszędzie.
A dotnet? Istnieje to pod innym systemem niż MS W ?
A co do możliwości języka – ani Java, ani C# nie umywają się nawet do C++, aczkolwiek Java nadrabia to idealnym zestawem standardowych bibliotek ze świetną dokumentacją. Aczkolwiek brakuje mi tam wielu rzeczy (wielodziedziczenie, operator zasięgu (::), przeciążanie operatorów…) – jak ktoś wie, jak to zrobić w Javie, niech mnie oświeci…
brak tych rzeczy o ktorych piszesz wynika z zalozen tworcow, oswieci Cie lektura tij4.0 na przyklad…
ale ja sobie zdaje sprawe, że takie były założenia, wiem z czego wynikały, i tak dalej
aczkolwiek MOIM ZDANIEM brak tych rzeczy ogranicza programistę. Owszem, język jest „czysty”, ale niektóre rzeczy, które w C++ załatwia się w kilku linijkach, w Javie trzeba zakodować w kilku stronach. Oczywiście, w innych miejscach można zaoszczędzić trochę kodu, tak więc ostateczny rozrachunek zależy głównie od pisanego programu…
Dlatego jak dla mnie, Java jest na drugim miejscu, jeśli chodzi o moją listę najlepszych języków…
No nie za bardzo. NET można użyć do wielu rzeczy, jednak programy w nim napisane zawsze będą mniej wydajne niż napisane w jakimś C, czy C++…
No ale tutaj w temacie są języki interpretowane, któe są mniej wydajne niż całe .NET z C#.
Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP okazują się wolniejsze niż C# (z .NET).
A jużjeśli miał bym używać tych różnych języków, to wolę się nauczyć C# i .NET i to używać do praktycznie wszystkiego, nawet jesli miał bym napisaćmałą grę, a o apliakcajch webowych to jużnie wspomnęjak się prosto robi jaki aplikacje klienckie.
Gdyby .NET nie był taki dobry to by nie próbowali na każdej alternatywnej architekturze przenieść tego/zaimplemetnować.
Każde społeczeństwo (w tym i również GNU/Linux) zobaczyło i dostrzegło wilki potencjał .NETa
Uczysz się tylko jednego języka i tylko jednej technologi z nim związanej i robisz to co chcesz.

Nie piszę tu jeszcze o grach AAA, ale kto wie może niedługo się to zmieni, jak sięzmieniło z asemblerem i potem C.
kod w PHP może być wykonany raz, a potem odsyłany będzie tylko wynik (np. dzięki e-accelerator). .NET to tylko produkt MS który powstał po procesie z Sunem o Javę… więc dlaczego zamiast Javy używać .NET ? I dlaczego w ogóle używać jej tam gdzie się do tego kompletnie nie nadaje ? (Gry itp ?) O boomie na .NET mówi się tak jak jakiś czas temu o boomie na Javę i zapewne to samo z tego wyjdzie.
Jeden "malutki" problem, firma m$ oficjalnie nie wspiera systemu GNU/Linux.
a Mono jeszcze sporo brakuje do .Net
A dlaczego wspierać coś co jest w statystycznym błędzie!
A tak na serio to się chłopie mylisz.
Chyba wiesz że MS wpółpracuje z Novell, także własnie w celu wsparcia .NET na ich platformę (GNU/Linux). Dlaczego MS wspiera bez zająknięcia MacOS i prawdziwe Unixy! (*BSD).
Widzęże bardzo lubicie sioaćjakieśgłupie rzeczy nie znając naprawdę faktów!

Druga sprawa, to MS nie robi jakichś kłopotów z uzyskaniem pełnej zgodności z .NET na innych platformach.

To że ktoś coś napisał, nie znaczy że ty to musisz powtarzać. Lepiej samemmu trochę poczytać o czymś i poznać to a dopiero potem się na ten temat wypowiadać.
Nasi politycy też dużo coś kiedyś powiedzil i nadal to robią, ale chyba im nie wierzysz?
Nikt nie robi problemów, ale po co MS ma to implementować u siebie skoro tego nie chce? Ja jeśli miał bym firmę software'ową, to też bym chciał promować swoje produkty i swoje rozwiązania, tym bardziej że są już one od kilkunastu lat na rynku.
To firmy/technologie które nie dawno się ukazały powinny próbować dorównać firmie która jest na rynku od jakiegoś czasu, a nie zmuszać ją (dosłownie poprzez jakieś smieszne sądzenie się) do używania ich "jedynego słusznego" formatu.
To tak jak by Mercedes zmuszał Ferrari to robienia wszystkiego tak jak oni.

Odnośnie javy i C# to takie jest moje zdanie po prostu, MS zrobił sobie nowy język konkurencyjny do Javy, ot co. Co do dalszej części wypowiedzi odnosze wrażenie że to jednak Ty jesteś niedoinformowany… MS nie uznaje standardów MIĘDZYNARODOWYCH a nie standardów innej firmy. Wydaje mi się że jeżeli MS współtworzy te standardy to dobrze byłoby je wspierać a nie robić wszystko na odwróŧ. Nawet do kodowania znaków Windows używa swojego formatu… Jeżeli uważasz że to jest OK to dalsza rozmowa między nami faktycznie nie ma sensu…

Wolniejsza jest nie tylko Java ale też C#. Przy czym C# jest ciut szybszy od Javy.

To licencja GPL (a tym bardziej najgorsza z nich wszystkich – w sensie duzych zakazów) jest najgorsza co do tego.

W kontekście tego artykułu jest to kompletnie bez różnicy. Opłaconemu programiście nie robi różnicy, na jakiej licencji jego pracodawca wyda program.

BSD zezwala zrobić z twoim programem cokolwiek, byleby wspominać, że on jest twój… mogą nawet wydać go jako closed source
GPL za fajna do zarabiania nie jest, ale przynajmniej zapewnia, że program i jego pochodne będą wolne do końca swojego istnienia.
BSD robi to samo!
Chociaż nie wiem o co ci do końća chodzi z tymi pochodnymi?
Bo jeśli chodzi ci o wykorzystanie tego kodu w swoim programie, to ten program nie jest jego pochodną, a tylko wykorzystuje to.
I nie widzę włąsnie tutaj za bardzo sensu rygorystycznego pokazaniu równieżswojego kodu wykorzystanego w tym programie, która nakazuje licenjca GPL.
Dlatego też BSD jest lepszą dla mnie.

On także wykorzystuje OpenSource, ale w większości na licencji BSD. A no z tego powodu, że tworząc gry chce najpierw na nich zarobić wykorzystując swoje najlepsze pomysły czasami podpieracją się opensource. A tu może ywdać taką gręnie obawiając się konkurencji, że jaego praca pójdzie na marne i ktoś sobie to wykorzysta.
Ale Carmack jest dobry i po jakimśczasie wypuszcza dalej na OpenSource kody źródłowe swoich enginów do gier!.
A GPL by mu w tym przezkodził, ze względu własnie takiego że musaił by otworzyć cały kod gry. I gdyby tak zrobił to nie widzieli byśmy takich wspaniałych gier ze stajni ID i nie tylko (sprzedanie enignów innym firmą).
I co najważniejsze Carmack nie zapomina o tym że korzysta z OpenSource i do tego nie zapomina o społczeności GNU/Linux.
Także jak widzisz BSD i tym podobne (ale nie GPL) sąn ajlepszym rozwiązaniem.
Bo jeśli ktoś z tego korzysta to prędzej czy później może się tym podzielić, ale po co od razu.
I tu własnie najlepszym przykładem jest John Carmack.

z pochodnymi to był skrót myślowy, mówiłem o forkach.
Przykład: piszesz program, wydajesz go na GPLu. Ktoś robi sobie forka i też cały czas udostępnia kod, więc inni mogą korzystać z jego modyfikacji.
A gdybyś zrobił go na BSD? Każdy mógłby wziąć twój program, zmienić licencję na EULA, zamknąć źródła i już… i nie widziałbyś linijki z kodu którejkolwiek z nowszych wersji. W jaki sposób ten program byłby wolny?
Ale musi być zawarta zmianka, że ktoś to zrobił!
